Story Description
The worst school in Japan doesn't ask what year you're in. It asks what you're worth with your fists. Toyokawa is an industrial city the adults gave up on years ago — factories, dead housing blocks, a rusted overpass, and one school squatting at its center: Karasu Academy, better known as Crow High. Its rule is carved into the gate by somebody's knife: the strong make the rules. Across the bay, Toyohashi looks cleaner. Shirasagi Academy keeps its gates shut and its corridors straight, and its rule is quieter and worse — anyone who breaks the order is an enemy. You're the new transfer student from Korea. No crew, no history, no favors owed. Twenty-one girls and three men who rank themselves by beating each other bloody, and a ladder running from Unranked to Apex. Pick your style — bare hands, boxing, wrestling or straight street brawling — and climb. Public wins, quiet ambushes, alliances and betrayals all move you up the ladder and put your name in the mouths of people you've never met. But every rung you take makes the apex of both schools watch you a little longer, and being feared costs you the few who might have come close for real. What to expect: a grounded delinquent progression fantasy set in modern Japan — fists and hierarchy, a mixed-gender cast, slow-burn romance and harem subplots, no superpowers. Content warnings: graphic violence, bullying, injuries, smoking, gambling, blood. All characters are 18 or older. By graduation, will both cities remember your name — or just another transfer student who didn't make it?
Characters
A transfer student from Korea, dropped into Karasu or Shirasagi; name, age, gender and fighting style are yours to set.
The undisputed strongest at Karasu. Black hair, few words; she can quiet an entire corridor with a look.
The real power inside Shirasagi's system — cool, calculating, every smile measured to the millimeter.
Mio's shadow and enforcer — the hardest hitter in the school, and the least willing to accept any outsider.
One of the few men at either school — soft-spoken, unreadable, and keeper of everyone's debts.
A fight-hungry hothead who gets itchy fists around anyone strong — and makes friends the same way.
A teacher who stopped trying years ago, a cigarette permanently in hand, still holding one last line.
A convenience-store girl from the district between the schools — nearest to this jungle, and most eager to leave it.
