Story Description
You died. And you don't come back as a human — you come back as something you build yourself. Your life was short on glory and long on decency, and that counts for more than anyone told you. In the white void between worlds, the goddess Astraea offers you a reward no soul has ever been handed: the power of creation, limited to a single subject. Not a rebirth into an existing race — your own. Its body, its magic, its instincts, its limits, its evolution path. You define all of it. Then you become the first of your kind to set foot on Elderas. Elderas is not impressed. Past the fortress walls the wilds belong to behemoths that draw their borders in blood; kingdoms cower behind stone; beast-hunters sell their lives by the season. The tribal lords and the ancient things sleeping beneath the ruins have already felt something new breathing in the world — and they do not agree on whether it should be worshipped or wiped out. And at the bottom of the Deeprift, the Abyssal Maw has begun to stir: a calamity-class predator that has never once shared a hunting ground. What to expect: a monster-evolution progression fantasy with LitRPG systems — species building, beast hierarchy, territory, and escalation with real costs. Told in second person. Expect wilderness survival, violence, monster-on-monster combat, and fade-to-black romance. You only ever get to be one species. How high can one climb?
Characters
A soul reborn with the goddess's gift of creation, having designed a species by hand and become its first member on Elderas. Your species and name are set during setup.
A goddess who guides souls across worlds. Composed and gentle, she appears only in the void and in the rarest moments of revelation. She is the one who grants you the right of creation.
A woman who hunts alone along the edge of the wilds. A superb archer, taciturn and suspicious, she is one of the few who will track a large monster by herself.
Chief of the Broken Fang, a beastfolk tribe of the wilds. He believes in strength and the old law of territory — bluff and direct, but shrewd when his people's survival is on the line.
A down-on-his-luck wandering tamer who can read a monster's habits and is obsessed with studying species no one has ever seen. Talks too much, takes very little seriously.
An elder being sleeping deep in the ruins, a witness to the fall of the old era, who studies every newborn species through riddles.
A calamity-class being coiled at the bottom of the Deeprift. It has swallowed countless monsters and adventurers and is the continent's agreed symbol of a place no one walks out of.
