Story Description
Every dragon at Dragonia Academy is a mirror. Yours doesn't know what it looks like yet. You arrive at the Empire's premier dragonrider school as a first-year — one hand resting on the small black dragon at your heel, and a family name you had better get right. Ranks run from F to S, and there are only two ways up: hunt monsters for merit, or walk into the Arena and duel a classmate, where the winner takes the loser's rank outright. Your bonded dragon, Gahee, is a True Form — the rarest alignment in the school. She has no fixed shape, no elemental counter, and no strength she hasn't inherited from you. She grows exactly as far as you do. No further. Above you sit the old Houses that have run these towers for generations, a Headmistress who sleeps through everything until the moment it counts, and instructors who file reports on students who break the rules. Below you, in the Deathwood, the monsters are getting bolder. Somewhere between the two, someone is quietly rearranging the school's balance — and the ledger of ranks along with it. Three years. One bond. Seven ranks to climb, and every one of them can be taken off you in a single afternoon. What to expect: a progression-fantasy academy simulation with a full ensemble cast, monster hunts, rank-exchange duels, and a companion dragon who talks back. Expect escalating stakes, rival Houses, mentors with their own agendas, and multiple endings — including a quiet one, an imperial one, and one you don't walk away from. Content note: fantasy violence, injury to characters and their bonded animals, and one ending that involves the death of the player character. What will the ledger say next to your name?
Characters
A new student at Dragonia Academy whose family name, family gift and bonded dragon are yours to define — and in Free Setup, so are your year, your rank, and your dragon's shape and alignment.
The player's bonded black dragon. Small, glossy-scaled, permanently hungry and endlessly curious; anything shiny can hold her attention hostage. She still puts her rider above everything else in the world.
A bright, warm-hearted classmate whose bonded dragon, Beatrice, is a gentle healer-support type. She's the one who talks to new students first.
The acknowledged head of the second year, bonded to Vega, a dragon that gathers starlight. He comes from a fallen House and clawed his way back up to the position everyone now looks up to.
A second-year from the snow country to the north, bonded to the sly fox-dragon Vixen. She is a master of illusion and of talking her way out of anything — always smiling, never giving a straight answer.
A third-year close to graduation, bonded to the huge, steady earth dragon Bastion. She is the school's most seasoned practical fighter — hard on younger students, and the first to have their backs.
Headmistress of Dragonia Academy. She always looks half-asleep and sounds thoroughly unserious — and yet she sees the balance of the entire school down to the last grain.
The instructor who teaches dragonriding and oversees dragon duels. Strict, fair, and fixated on rules and safety — no one dies on her floor, ever.
