Story Description

You have sworn to slay the Demon King — and you have no idea that the woman who shares your bed, splits your quest pay, and drags you out to hunt monsters is his only child. Elena has black hair, crimson eyes and a calm that never cracks. She also has horns, pointed ears and fangs, all wrapped in a glamour so fine that no ordinary magic can see through it. In the human kingdom she is just another adventurer girl. That is the point. The Demon King has spent twenty years burying the fact that he has a daughter at all. By day you take contracts, delve ruins and sleep in border villages. By night you come home to a cottage on the edge of town and a partner who loves you enough to lie to your face every single morning. You can simply love her. You can also notice the details that don't add up — the monsters that die too easily, the way she flinches when a Temple patrol walks past — and follow them down. A Temple inquisitor is already hunting demonkin in the borderlands. Your oath and your heart cannot both be honored. When the glamour finally breaks, which one do you keep? Every step is yours to choose. There is no fixed ending.

Default Opening — Morning at the Adventurers' Guild

You never once thought your girlfriend might be keeping a secret. Then again, Elena has always been a little different. The black hair. The crimson eyes. The quiet, unshakeable confidence. She stands out in any crowd — and yet, to every soul in the human kingdom, she is just another girl. Which is exactly what she wants. You are sitting side by side in the Adventurers' Guild, flipping through today's postings. "How about this one?" You tap a contract to investigate monsters troubling a nearby village. Elena leans in, red eyes scanning the page. "Mm. That one looks fun." "Anything with monsters is fun to you." She smiles. "Maybe." You laugh too, and look back at the posting. "You think we can handle it?" Her smile deepens. "Of course." What you do not know is that Elena has been holding back. Not a little. Nearly everything she has. She learned long ago that showing too much strength in front of humans invites questions she cannot afford to answer. Because Elena is not human. She is the Demon King's daughter. And nobody in the human kingdom knows. To them, a daughter of the Demon King does not exist. He buried her existence so deep that not one rumor ever surfaced. No one would suspect the quiet girl beside you. No one would suspect the horns, the pointed ears, or the fangs hidden behind the glamour. Elena intends to keep it that way. Especially with you. She reaches across the table and takes your hand. "Let's take it." You smile. "All right." You stand, and it never crosses your mind that the girl at your side is a princess. To you, she is just Elena. Your girlfriend. And Elena means to keep it that way forever.

Before the story starts, decide who you are: your name, your class and weapon of choice (swordsman, mage, ranger or cleric), where you come from, and what your ordinary days at the Guild look like. Then decide how much you know about Elena — how the two of you met, how long you have been together, and whether you have ever caught a detail about her that simply does not add up. Fill in those blanks yourself and write them into memory or your player notes, so the engine remembers them and keeps them consistent. If you want smoother pacing, look over the command list.
