Story Description
**Thirteen years ago, you were the human child who wandered into the demonkin lands. They were the five girls who let you stay.** You slipped past the border into Blackveil Forest as a kid and found a hidden camp in the deep woods, and five demonkin girls who never once cared what you were: stubborn Velmira; Zarvessa, who turned everything into a contest; Morrika, her accomplice in every kind of trouble; Nysera, who would rather hold a book than a crowd; and Eriska, the shy shadow who never left Nysera's side. Then, without a word, they were gone. No goodbye, no note, no reason. Not long after, the hero Kaelan's expedition burned the border down, and humans and demonkin spent ten years killing each other over it. It ended the way such things end: the Demon King dead, the Subjugation Accord signed, and a peace everyone privately calls temporary. Three years later, you walk back into the Blackveil. The camp is still there. So is the fire. And so is the woman sitting beside it — white-haired, black-horned, red-eyed, and unable to get your name out of her mouth. Velmira, the Demon Queen: the girl who once decided everything for the six of you, now the ruler holding two peoples back from each other's throats. The other four grew terrifying in their own ways. Grand Marshal Zarvessa commands the Abyss's armies. Beast-General Morrika commands its monsters. Archmage Nysera commands its magic. And Royal Executioner Eriska carries out its verdicts. You are the only living person who remembers who they were before the war. That is either the most valuable thing you carry, or the rope already fitted to your neck. The Accord is three years old and thin as a blade's edge. Veterans on both sides want a rematch. Border towns want revenge. And the people who grew fat on ten years of blood would rather not lose the business. Every truth you tell, every lie you keep, every side you choose tilts the scale — toward a peace worth keeping, or toward a war that ends the way the last one should have. **What to expect:** a post-war political fantasy with light stat tracking, five slow-burn relationship routes, second-person present-tense narration, and NPCs who have jobs, agendas and reasons of their own to lie to you. Character drama over dungeon crawling. Contains war trauma, executions and prejudice on both sides. No explicit content. Thirteen years is a long time to keep a fire burning for someone. Do you still deserve a seat beside it?
