Story Description
A near-future city cut clean down the middle. On one side stands the Hero Association: licenses, rankings, public ratings, camera crews. On the other, the Shadow League: black-market power samples, forged identities, and no rules worth keeping. You come to on a rooftop with one choice in front of you — hero, villain, or nobody at all — and one power to match. From there you climb the only ladder that exists: C to B to A and A+, to S, and past S to Transcendent, the tier almost no one reaches alive. Every fight moves your reputation, your bounty, and how badly the Association wants you off the board. Every alliance costs you the other side's trust. Pick your faction. Pick your power. Then live with it.
Characters
A player character just stepping into the world of the Awakened. You can become a villain, a hero, or unaffiliated — or carry the identity of Charon from the villain scenario.
The League's courier and dispatcher. The comm unit on her shoulder is never really off, and she deals in conclusions, not courtesies.
The League's supreme leader, rarely seen, who runs the board with orders and silence — even the people beside her can't read her hand.
An S-rank asset ranked alongside Charon, cold in his methods and skilled at turning an ally's credit into his own stepping stone.
A League member captured by the Hero Association not long ago, now of unknown fate — the fuse on everything that is about to happen.
The Association's top hero, first in public ratings year after year. Her smile is as bright as her record — nobody knows what that smile costs her.
A neutral dealer in secrets between heroes and villains. No allegiance, only a price — rumor says she can even pull old Power Registry files.
